Celebrating Professor Qammer H. Abbasi’s Outstanding Achievements

We are proud to celebrate Professor Qammer H. Abbasi CEng FEAIE FIoE FRSE, Core Team member of the CHEDDAR Hub and Co-Director of the DiveIn CDT, who has been recognised with three prestigious award nominations.

• He has been named a finalist for an IET Achievement Medal, which celebrates outstanding engineers and technologists from across the globe who are driving progress through innovation, leadership, and impact.
• He is also a finalist in the Times Higher Education Awards 2025, known as the “Oscars of higher education,” in the category of Outstanding Research Supervisor of the Year.
• And finalist for the Scottish Muslim Awards 2025 ‘Salman al Farsi (RA) Award for Innovation‘

These nominations highlight his visionary leadership, pioneering research, and dedication to nurturing future talent, values that lie at the heart of CHEDDAR’s mission to deliver real-world impact.
