Building Bio-Inspired Intelligent Networks: Dr Mallik Tatipamula to Deliver Visionary Keynote on 6G

14 Jul, 2025

We are honoured to welcome Dr Mallik Tatipamula, Chief Technology Officer at Ericsson Silicon Valley, as keynote speaker at our CHEDDAR Friends Day event. A global thought leader and pioneer in mobile network evolution, Dr Tatipamula will share his groundbreaking vision for the next generation of intelligent, autonomous networks in his talk titled “6G: A Systems Perspective on the Convergence of Communications, Computing, Control, and Sensing: Building Bio-Inspired Intelligent Networks.”

As we move beyond 5G, the boundaries between communications, computing, control, and sensing (3Cs + S) are dissolving, paving the way for bio-inspired, self-optimising networks that can sense, process, and respond just like the human nervous system. In his keynote, Dr Tatipamula will explore how 6G networks are set to evolve into AI-native systems capable of real-time decision-making and autonomous adaptation.

Key themes of the talk include:

  • The evolution of mobile network architectures: From static, rule-based systems to self-learning, AI-driven, bio-inspired networks.
  • The merging of 3Cs + S: Creating networks that function as an intelligent nervous system for the digital world.
  • Enabling technologies for 6G: Including neuromorphic computing, edge AI, joint communication and sensing, the use of THz spectrum, and quantum-secure networking.
  • Emerging use cases and societal impact: From holographic communication and swarm robotics to AI-powered digital twins and human-machine collaboration via the Internet of Senses.
  • Future research challenges and opportunities: Exploring architectural constructs that unify connectivity, computing, and control, and how they support a new era of programmable, autonomous networks.

Dr Tatipamula’s keynote promises to set the stage for rich discussions about the future of global connectivity and the transformative role 6G networks will play across industries and society.
